Ensemble C’est Tout

Anna Gravalda’s novel, which was bought after watching the movie. i suppose it’s the first time i’ve actually attempted reading a full blooded French work. helps a lot that i know roughly what the story is.

It feels insane, rather. Ppl look at you weirdly or incredulously and ask that you can actually understand all that. Hell I don’t, there are loads of words which I have never seen before, loads of new phrases, words in all the different tenses. It’s too tough to go through it again with a dictionary. But perhaps I should hope that some of those phrases are buried somewhere in my mind. At the very least it will be much easier to recognise them when I see or heard them.

And Camile Fauque’s character in the book is somewhat crazier than in the movie
