i guess France, being such a large country, has many different newspapers, but this classification taken from the Lonely Planet guide entertained me to no end:
Le Figaro – centre-right, aimed at professionals, businesspeople and the bourgeoisie
Le Monde – centre-left, popular with professionals and intellectuals
France Soir – right-wing, working and middle-class
LibĂ©ration – left wing, popular with students and intellectuals
L’HumanitĂ© – communist, working-class and intellectuals
Le Parisian – centre, working class
L’Equipe – daily devoted to sport
and others…
how intriguing. many other interesting things in the book too
