From Jx’s cordyceps and frog videos, I went to the scienceblogs page and found
Google Earth image of Moses parting the Red Sea, which is rather cool looking. pretty. doctoring photos and memories, heh.

then I also found a site selling Atheist T-shirts Product of Evolution. Somewhat silly, but alright I guess. Stuff like Free-thinker, God-free, What Would Darwin Do. Designed by this anti-Theists guy, who is a vehemet Atheist with a nice looking blog, where I found a post on Presentism, this somewhat idiotic concept that there is only a present and the past and future are unreal. well.. it’s not related to atheism by the way.
alright that’s enough for now.

For the record, I am not a theist hater. Just because I don’t hold the same beliefs as theists doesn’t mean I have to hate them! Is that a theist thing? Thanks for link despite the negative review.
lol. alright i didnt mean it so strongly. not the commonly used racism kinda meaning.
but your latest Moral Atheist post takes a strong stand Against theists and their actions, instead of a neutral and unconcerned atheist. arguing against theism doesn’t really put you at a neutral position, even if you’re ‘0′. you’re sort of shifting the opposition to between 0 and +1, instead of naturally being +1 and -1. why dont you just ignore them instead?
oh by the way i believe that atheist morals are in a way more moral because it’s not forced by some god.
and also im an atheist.
/shrug.
P.S. perhaps diversity in beliefs is also a hallmark of evolution. in which case everything is perfectly normal.
“oh by the way i believe that atheist morals are in a way more moral because it’s not forced by some god. ”
Exactly, I have written about this same thing before. I think it is quite curious that theists have to use heaven as their motivation to act “good.” If they are only acting good because they want to go to heaven, is the act really good? I mean, after all, their motivation is selfish. They don’t act good for god, they do it because they want to go to heaven and live forever. God is going to reward them for that and then punish non-believers for using their brains that he gave them? Curious indeed.
“why don’t you just ignore them instead?”
They are almost everywhere, and trying to push their beliefs on everyone. They are affecting my life and the lives of millions of others. I am not only looking out for myself but also for other people. I don’t want anyone to be fooled by their tactics. For the betterment of mankind.
i don’t really like anti-theists. I tend to argue against them. not that i don’t argue against theists as well.
atheist morals are in no way more moral than theist morals. theists don’t act good because they want to go to heaven and live forever. they do so because they have morals. if anything, it is because of morals that they are able to believe in a greater god and place their faith in it, a benevolent god. Go read ‘Mere Christianity’ by CS Lewis or something.
Not all theists push their faith on others. they have a good thing going for them and they feel compelled to share it with others FOR THE BETTERMENT OF MANKIND. at least to them. just ignore them. usually they ignore you as well after a while.
I’d love to see WWIII being a war between theists and atheists. would make for an interesting movie what with special effects and all. Of course, the theists would probably win since they have god on their side =P
