quelle bonheur, lessons after 10h30 were cancelled today, woot. just when i needed time.
had a panini at the shop outside Jussieu, finally tried it after being tempted by the long queues at lunch time. the lady is very friendly and nice, fantastic, and then they have a great variety of sandwiches at cheaper prices. good good.
today is Jour du Macaron, so i went to Pierre Hermé @ Rue Bonaparte. PH has the best macarons in the whole world. today’s special was 3 free 1-inch macarons, choose your flavours, and then 1 red macaron for charity, you donate as much as you like. People do donate quite a bit.
I had Ispahan, Plaisir Sucrés and Carrément Chocolat. super delicious.
It must be heavenly to eat one entire full-sized macaron. Pierre Hermé!
I tried to go to the other macaron shops, but nobody was giving away macarons, rather disappointed.
Then I tried to go for an event at Cité U but I was denied entry so I camped outside for Sarkozy to arrive. Look he’s smiling at me. Nicolas Sarkozy is Chef d’Etat, = the President of France. when you are the president of mother france, you are immune from the law while you are in the position, you can also do alot alot of things, and the media pokes fun at you every day.
But anyway it was Journée Internationale de la Francophonie = international day of french-speakers.
in other news:
- i find arrondissement 13 to be ugly and full of ‘HDB’ flats. yuck.
- Cecilia ex-premiere dame ex-Mme sarkozy is going to get married in New York.
- a viticulteur got his nose insured for €5,000,000, premiums of €10,000/yr.
