what a day. it was really amazing. the short summary of it is that there were widespread and highly charged up protests throughout the route, the procession was repeatedly disrupted, cut short, many banners were put up, lots of Tibetian and RSF flags were waved. stunning.
now for the details.
it snowed last night. in terms of probability this borders on the ridiculous.
it’s april, and temperatures hit 14 degrees last week, even though it was 0 to 8 yesterday
i’m in the city where it rarely snows
i just ran a marathon yesterday.
but it did. when i walked out to the metro at 11pm, there were flakes [...]
im glad i managed to complete it, in 5h13min, which im satisfied for a first marathon, considering that i’ve only been running 5km recently, and i was only expecting to run to 21km.

more Olympic news: Sarkozy has just threatened to boycott the opening ceremony unless 3 conditions are met, i can’t remember all but one of them is for beijing to open dialogue with dalai lama. coz china recently started more suppression activities against tibet. hai. terrible.

i guess it’s a big thing here: liberty. they like as much to meddle in other’s affairs as america does. the olympic flame is arriving in paris on monday, the Mairie de Paris (er i guess that equals to something like government administrative unit of paris? crap it’s hard to translate stuff without a page [...]
i have finally finally found a sign with the name of the school. amazingness. after two months. with the University of Paris thingy too.
