supposing there is an individual “i”, and a world (and a tomorrow):
[1] if i said, on good authority, that the world is going to end tomorrow, would you believe me?
[2] if, by some miracle, the world does not end tomorrow,
[3] that means [1] is false?
[4] i will restate the same declaration, day after day, until the world ends.
[5] if the world ends after a very large number of days, that means that statistically speaking [1] is false?
[6] conversely if it ends after a small number of days it is tolerably true?
[7] if [5] and [6] are both possible, it is also both possible that the world does and does not end?
[8] but if the world ends then no one can verify [1] so [1] is always false?
[9] (ignoring [8]) and if i die before knowing if the world ends, what happens of [1]
this post is titled blackholes to characterize the (1) galactic symbol of death, decay, finality, (2) the undergrad’s messy, bottomless and all-consuming room, (3) the uncertain fate of existence within a blackhole, (4) the consuming of reason, logic and errors.

interesting post. i don’t quite get [7] though…
hello!
pardon, im just entertaining myself while mugging for exams. it’s nothing new anyway.
[7] means that if [5] and [6] can both be considered true, they are conflicting. quite obviously silly
