la gay pride. in a city as gay as paris, how bad can it be. it was about the celebration of gay-ness, anti-discrimination, anti-AIDS and stuff like that. jumped in at ST-Michel and caught the parade going throug the streets. what a noisy street party. the funny thing is, i’m so used to manifestations that it almost seemed like just another one of them. except that this time there were no fierce protests, no fierce policemen, no clashes. well there were the flics around as usual, but nothing much for them to do.
trucks after trucks carrying big speakers and dancers, and throngs of people following after the trucks rocking away to the music, the fancily-dressed people, the normally dressed ones, lots of flyers, freebies, lots of rainbow flags, lots and lots and lots of gays. very entertaining.
