so after spending $90 on a fire-red racket + red grip, i went to find out what does it do. (well it’s like 90USD online)

Yonex Nanospeed 800 3U G4

apparently 3U is the indication of the weight of the racket. 2U is heavier at 90.0-94.9 g, whereas 3U is 85.0-89.9 g. anyway this model only has 3U sizing. and then G4 is the grip size. not that there were 1000 rackets at the shop to choose from. some ppl think that 2U is more durable. hm. dunno. the weight is actually the same even for the most expensive series.

so this one is a 2008 series. already well into the year. nvm. Flex: stiff. Composition(frame): H.M. Graphite. Composition(shaft): Carbon nanotube. featuring Nanoscience, Isometric, Built-in T Joint and Delta Power Frame technologies. er. high modulus graphite.

comes with laser engraved serial number, and hologram sticker. apparently ppl sell fake rackets on ebay and other places. like nonexistent series. eew. Made in Taiwan. the more even more expensive versions are Made in Japan.

to jx: it’s better than the Carbonex series.
