Was browsing www.pps.tv the other day (while waiting for the champions league final to start), and came across Entre Les Murs. Pretty surprised to see it appear there, after all it’s a more obscure movie, it’s in french, it’s not a blockbuster, it does not have any famous actors. But it does have Palme d’Or from Cannes. I think.
But anyways, it’s a good french movie, which is good enough for me. So i started watching it at 2am. and promptly missed the champions league action. pah. not a big loss.
look at that dashing teacher. and the lovely kids.
it’s a very nice story. you can look up the synopsis online in plenty of places. and if you want the ppstream link, please ask me for it.
I frankly couldn’t keep up with their talking. Either from lack of use or from their crazy slang. ’sais pas is pretty easy to pick up but when it’s like chush chush chush whatever blah i need the subtitles (oh it’s chinese subtitles btw but decent ones).
lots of typical quirks exhibited by the people. very natively french. some unintelligible swearing. and some intelligible ones. but anyway a pretty cool film to watch.
i doubt terminator can be better. we’ll see.
did i mention i watched Star Trek too? whee. movie marathons.
i still am impressed with ppstream’s streaming speed and their video quality.
and darn why is Transformers not out yet. i gotta start buying french films to support their industry. once i start getting money.
